[SOLVED] Video Recording check failed

I just installed vRD 2010 R2.
I am running XP SP3 with Media Play 11. When I run a components check it returns an error Video Recording failed. Windows MediaEncoder9 was not found.
How can I correct this?

RE: Video Recording check failed

Thanks, I had downloaded a WMEncoder9 from the MS site but on installation it said "not compatible with Media Player 10"

RE: Video Recording check failed

I have Win XP SP3 with Windows Media Player 11, too. But I don’t have any issues with the installation of these components and vRD video recording works fine.
Are you sure you have downloaded the right components? I have downloaded these files:
Windows Media Encoder 9 Series: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...f1182cdf24
Windows Media Video 9 VCM: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...e948689db8

What about the components check in vRD. Is it ok, means green?

Wo haben Sie Ihre Versionen her? Danke A.

Was haben Sie also anderes gemacht?

RE: Video Recording check failed

I think we can't help you with this problem, even Microsoft employees state that WME 9 IS compatible with Win7.
See this thread for more information: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Foru...efee043600

What is bugging me though is that you state you have Windows Media Player 11, but Win7 comes with WMP 12.

RE: Video Recording check failed

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...laylang=en
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...laylang=en

4 GByte sollten doch reichen?

RE: Video Recording check failed
