1. Updating a database to vRD 2010 R2 does not work properly
Symptoms:
Following error message appears, if updating a vRD database to vRD 2010 R2 under following circumstances:
- when permissions have been activated and
- the user loggs in using a customized role and
- the option Pass-through authentication has been activated in the original database:
DE: Es ist ein Fehler beim Aufbau des Desktops aufgetreten.
EN: An error occured while creating the desktop.
Cause:
visionapp confirms this to be bug.
Workaround:
Before performing the update following option has to be de-activated:
DE: Extras|Einstellungen|Benutzerspezifisch|Applikation|Windows-Authentifizierung durchreichen
EN: Tools|Options|User specific|Application|Pass-through authentication
OR
Make sure, that following entry in the registry has been set
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\visonapp\vRD2010R2\CorePassThroughAuthentication = false".
If this entry does not exist, you have to create it manually.
Resolution:
Will be fixed with vRD 2010 R2 (incl. Patch 1, 7.0.3033.0).
2. Restore of a database backup does not work properly
Symptoms:
Restoring of a database backup of vRD 2010 R2 (*.vrsb) leads to following issues:
A) The assignment of credentials to single connection objects as personal will be be lost
B) The assignment of credentials to a TS Gateway will be lost
C) The assignment of credentials to a VNC proxy will be lost.
Cause:
visionapp confirms this to be bug.
Resolution:
Will be fixed with vRD 2010 R2 (incl. Patch 1, 7.0.3033.0).
3. Size and position of vRD will not be saved
Symptoms:
When running a multimonitor environment and the secondary display is located left, following issue occurs: If vRD is going to be exited on the second monitor neither the position nor the size of the application window will be saved.

Will be fixed with vRD 2010 R2 (incl. Patch 1, 7.0.3033.0).
4. Connect to a console session is not possible
Symptoms:
It is not possible to connect to a console session of a remote server, if the underlying RDP client has version 6.0.x.

5. Restoring backed up data (*.vrb) does not work as expected
Symptoms:
Restoring backed up local data (*.vrb file) to a database does not work as expected. The assignment of credentials to connection objects, to a TS Gateway and to a VNC proxy will be lost.
Cause:
visionapp confirms this to be bug.

Will be fixed with vRD 2010 R2 (incl. Patch 1, 7.0.3033.0).
6. Icon assignment not for all users
Symptoms:
In database mode the icon assignment does not apply to all users. One user does not see the assignment of other users and thus probably overwrites this settings by mistake.
Cause:
visionapp confirms this to be bug.

7. Local user cannot be granted access to a database
Symptoms:
If in database mode the option "Pass-through authentication" has been activated, after updating a local user cannot be granted access to the database.
Cause:
visionapp confirms this to be bug.
Workaround:
