Full screen on 2010 has chopped off top

When I use the full screen option in 2010 I get my menu bar at the bottom of the scree for the host with the VM menu bar just above it.. however the top of the VM screen is chopped off.
Is there a way NOT see the menu bar I saw that you may be adding an option... either way .. how can I get the proper size in the VM so it will run as if I connected directly without VRD?
I can't have the top cut off..

I have SIX monitors running and I am using UltraMon.. not sure if that is causing the issue..
It is not.. I just turned it off and for my main monitor the only one that has a task bar now.. I still get chopped off..
Suggestions?

-Ken

Could you please tell us the settings of each of the six monitors. This would be very helpful.

RE: Full screen on 2010 has chopped off top

each monitor is running 1280x1024 32bit color
I have three wide over three wide. So the matrix is 3 wide by 2 tall.

I have attached a FULL screen shot of ONE monitor that has a VM set as full screen..
You can see my local systems green start button and taskbar at the bottom.
You can see the bottom taskbar of the VM right above it.. all looks good..
However at the top you can see it is chopped off and I do NOT get a the windows header for a maximized window. If I were to show you the monitor above the image you would just see the blue taskbar for the monitor above.

Please help!!

I don't have any fix for you right now but we will take a closer look at the issue for the planned service pack.

RE: Full screen on 2010 has chopped off top

Update...
So I have TOTALLY replaced my OS with Windows 7 but have the same hardware layout.

When I run in full screen and maximize a window I get the same issue.. HOWEVER.. since windows 7 has semi transparent taskbars I can sort of see that the auto resize is NOT taking into consideration the toolbar on the screen using. I can see the resize and cancel icons from the maximized window UNDER the taskbar from the monitor directly above it.
I have attached a screen shot .. the monitor used is the left bottom. You can see the blurry icons through the monitor above it's taskbar.

I think people are looking for a way in the properties to choose if they want to show the taskbar of the host or not on the screen for each connection... This would be a GREAT upgrade and at the same time you could adjust the math for the "full screen" height.

I also tested something else.. I doubled the height of the primary monitors task bar... than ran the same full screen connection. The top is still chopped off and "under" the taskbar of the monitor above it... but ALSO the bottom of the full screen is under the main windows taskbar. Which is a similar but different bug. I have attached a screen shot for that as well..

Please let me know how else I can help... and ANY ETA ..

-Ken

What are you talking about?
I think, this has nothing to do with thread or even with vRD.

Is there any hope here?

Do you have 2010 working in Windows 7 with multiple monitors?

RE: Full screen on 2010 has chopped off top

Hi, I'm back!

Unfortunately I still have no fix for your problem.
But I can reproduce it on my dev machine when I align my two screens like you have them (one above the other).
Unfortunately this is nothing we can fix right now, but we will of course have a close look at it for the service pack.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

felix
