Connecting to a computer with RealVNC enterprise edition fails

Affected Version(s):
vRD 2009

Symptoms:
Following error appears if trying to connect via VNC to a remote system running RealVNC Enterprise edition:
No configured security type is supported by 3.3 viewer

Cause:
visionapp confirms this to be a limitation of the VNC component within vRD.
